Mulanje Mountain Tours

Away from the mountain

Tea, villages and wildlife

Mount Mulanje is most of what Edgison guides, but not all of it. These three run in the country around the massif and can be arranged on their own or added to a walking trip.

  • Tea Plantation Tours

How Malawi tea is grown, harvested and processed, and the history of the industry around Mulanje and Thyolo.

  • Village & Cultural Tours

Local communities, traditional ways of life, food, crafts, dances and customs — met respectfully, on their terms.

  • Wildlife & Game Reserves

Game reserve trips for wildlife, birds and the natural environment, with the context of Malawi's conservation areas.

The village and wildlife tours have no photographs here yet, and that is deliberate. Every photograph on this site is a real one from a place Edgison actually takes people, so rather than fill the gap with stock images, those two are described in words until he has pictures of his own.
